:harry: 20 Questions Harry Potter Edition II  :harry:

It was time to break off the old thread that had grown to become twice as long as a Basilisk... :ginny:

Rules for the game

1. The person who wins/guesses the previous round correctly gets to start the next round.

2. The person starting the round chooses one subject from the Harry Potter books (the 7 books only, not J.K. Rowling's other books such as Beedle the Bard, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, or Quidditch Through the Ages) in one of 6 categories: person, creature, spell, potion, place, and thing.  Please note that for the purposes of this game, the category of "creature" includes all non-human beings such as goblins, house-elves, and giants.

3. The category is announced and other players start asking yes/no questions to try to guess what the subject is.

4. Each player can ask only one question per post, and cannot put in two consecutive posts but is welcome to ask a new question after another player puts in a question.

5. Questions and answers must be limited to book canon only, not the movies or extra information from Pottermore or from the author's website or interviews.

6. If the subject has not been guessed after reaching 20 questions, hints are allowed to be given.

7. If for whatever reason the person answering the questions cannot or does not come back to the thread for 3 days, we can start over with a new round.  If this happens, there's no need to wait for a Moderator's 'OK' - the first person who posts in the thread after 3 days can go ahead and start a new round.

Please remember to also follow the general rules and guidelines for the Recreation Center here that apply to all game threads.

-------------

The old thread is broken off where I've just won the round and am about to start a new one! So here we go...

Is it the Potters' cat, that Lily mentions in a letter to Sirius?? The one that nearly gets killed by baby Harry on a toy broomstick?  :crookshanks:  :harryquidditch:
Evreka - well done

Everything seems to be about cats here at DS ... so I thought  :P
